If there is something that we love about our work, it is to see our customers enjoying themselves. To make sure that happens, we devote all our knowledge and experience, and use our greatest care when designing all activities.

But there is a necessary ingredient that is not in our hands: our guests’ desire to have fun.

A few days ago we greeted 56 salespeople from Spain and Italy, hailing from a prestigious photography company, who were participating in an incentive trip with which the firm was recognizing their work in achieving goals.

Formentera, our ally

The destination chosen on this occasion was Formentera, the smallest populated Balearic island. We had only a short weekend at our disposal, and we wanted our guests to take back home the best memory possible of their stay in this small, unique, exuberantly biodiverse island.

For the reception on Friday, we organized a private dinner at flipper & chiller. The combination of its exquisite Mediterranean cuisine and the beauty of the sunset from its privileged location helped us give them the best welcome.

Saturday’s busy schedule began with a guided bike ride. The goal was Cala Saona – a small bay protected by small cliffs on the west coast of the island. The beauty of its landscape and its crystal clear waters quickly became the reason for a myriad of photographs and the setting of many invigorating baths in the Mediterranean Sea.

In Cala Saona, the catamaran was waiting for us. It would take us to S’Espalmador, a small island that we reached after disembarking by shore boat. A tasty lunch awaited us at Kiosco el Pirata, a small restaurant at Ses Illetes.

Fusion of cultures – our best bet

As previously stated, we just cannot supply the desire to enjoy and have fun, but that is exactly what the members of the group did when faced with our proposals, thus making up the perfect weekend.

So, we could not think of a better way to say our goodbyes than to organize a “Namaste” party in their honor. Namaste is a beautiful word that comes from Sanskrit and is used in India both as a greeting and a farewell, as well as to express gratitude.

Es Molí de Sal – a restaurant located in an old Formenterean salt industry mill – was the setting chosen for this farewell dinner show. It is a beautiful and traditional place, boasting some exceptional views and a mouth-watering selection of the best ofiusina gastronomy. To round off the evening, we added some oriental atmosphere, exotic music and oriental dances to the mix.

No doubt Formentera’s experiences and flavors will remain in the memories of our guests in the same way that we will remember their enthusiasm and good humor.

Here’s the story of an intense weekend. If you want us to offer more information, propose a topic for future posts, or if you want to tell us your experience, we encourage you to leave us a comment.
