Bicycles in Formentera
Formentera — the Balearic Islands’ little sister with a surface of 83 km2 — is part of the Les Pitiüses archipelago. Its exuberant biodiversity, turquoise waters and artisan heritage all encourage you to slow down, to disconnect from the sounds of everyday life.
Discovering the island
One of the best ways to discover the island is on a bicycle. Its friendly topography will motivate anyone to travel on two wheels without the need to be particularly fit. It is all about riding at a pace that allows us to enjoy the sea breeze and the warm caress of the sun while letting sounds, scents and, most importantly, landscapes invade our senses.
This hour and a half long stroll is our preferred way to make Formentera known to our customers.
In the hands of professionals
We count on the best local tour guides, who share the most unusual and unknown roads of the island with the participants. Together, they will discover secret caves, defense towers, the native flora of the area and many curiosities that do not appear in travel guidebooks.
Halfway through, we offer our devoted cyclists a well-deserved snack at Cala Saona, one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. There, in addition to enjoying the natural beauty of the scenery, they will reenergize with a soft drink or a very cold beer.
The arrival in the island’s capital, Sant Francesc — boasting small streets, shops, and craft stalls — will delight both those most curious and those who may want to buy a souvenir “fet a mà”.
Time to eat? Our guides will accompany you to the goal. You will enjoy a paella right at the very seafront in Ses Illetes, the second best beach in Spain and the sixth in Europe, according to the Traveler Choice Awards 2017. The food will be enlivened by the sun, the relaxing atmosphere, and our DJ’s music.
The return to Ibiza aboard our catamaran – once again with a music backing – will make the farewell go down better. So we say our goodbyes to a day and a place that will undoubtedly hang around our guests with good memories and emotions.
Once at the hotel, a shower and a little rest will be had before enjoying a spectacular sunset.
